The loose material all removed, new plasterboard was fitted into the ceiling hole and secured with screws. the plaster on the wall was built up with basecoat to a level just below the finished wall. Over skimmed with carlite multi finish, it started to show promise! The paint work was next to be repaired, then with the tiles replaced and grouted in, it remained to fit the shower riser rail and head to complete. In this case the customer was not bothered about the yellow border tiles being left out, (no replacements available now), and wasn't concerned that the new white tiles were a different shade to the older tiles. To repair in completeness, the entire bathroom would have needed re-tiling, rather more expense than the owners were prepared to go to.
