Blockwork- fish pond layout page 1

The blocks are to be three courses high, double at the back for retaining, single round three sides to be faced with decorative bricks.
The next few pages are related to work involving the layout of block structures and associated brickwork for a design for two fish ponds. This first set of pictures involves the lower of two ponds, it is the starting point for the entire design. The background of the idea is to have two ponds, one at a higher level that will overflow as a waterfall feature into the lower pond. Additionally, there is retaining brickwork to lower levels and finishing work around the front of the lower pond structure.

First thing to do, lay some concrete for foundation.

.......and the last two pictures showing the finished structure, which, after setting, will be ready to take the rigid pond liner inside itself.
