WTC Commercial PAT

Commercial premises encompasses shops of all kinds and offices, pubs, restaurants, care homes, hospitals, hotels, B&B and schools as well as all manufacturing and repair operations. In addition to this, powered equipment used by self employed persons who have no premises as such but work on sites is also included.

All commercial operations are required by law to maintain their electrical systems in good order. Wire Test Company can help you achieve or maintain this standard by checking all appliances contained within your premises, be that a cash register, a hairdryer or a welding machine. In a similar fashion, all office equipment is also required to be correctly maintained, usually this is business equipment like computers and associated devices. Staff equipment for refreshment is also included, (microwaves, kettles etc).

For commercial customers Wire Test Company offers the following services:

A check on all socket outlets in the premises to ensure they are connected correctly and safe to use.

Microwave oven leakage check.

Inspection and electrical test of appliances including business machines.

Check of any 'plug in' RCD devices to test for correct operation.

Testing of extension leads for safety.

Repairs to plugs, fuses and flexible cords on appliances.

We appreciate that sometimes it is not convenient to have appliances tested during the normal business day, since the equipment needs to be switched off. In line with our flexible customer service approach we offer an out of hours service that will take care of your needs when the usual working day is over. There is no extra charge for this service but we ask you book it at least a week in advance.

You are advised to check that your prospective PAT service provider is both qualified and insured, bear in mind that there is no legal requirement for any provider of PAT services to be qualified, would you entrust your safety to such an enterprise?
